When talking about fashion, one thing I’ve learned to keep in mind is that everybody’s idea of fashion isn’t the same. I found myself confused as I scrolled down my timeline at the outfits for the Met Gala. Everyone was so amped up about most of the female outfits and how they “slayed” and “went off” and I had to ask myself if we were looking at the same thing. Keeping in mind that it is the Met Gala and they were following a certain theme. Even still, I just felt like some of the stuff I was seeing these celebs wear was kinda wack. Like they get away with a lot of the stuff they wear just because of who they are, and that’s not cool. There are people that if they attempted to wear the things that someone like Rihanna wears they would be the butt of a million jokes. And that’s not a knock against Ri because she is without a doubt one of the best to do it as far as style goes. Folks feel that because someone is of certain status that whatever they wear is “dope” or “slaying” no matter how bullshit it is. No shade or disrespect to anyone though, you like what you like, I just realized that a lot of that stuff isn’t for me. Its too fashion, if that makes sense. I like events like the Met Gala though; it gives me a look into some people’s fashion sense and what they deem to be fashionable or stylish. I enjoyed reading most people’s opinions, the good ones and bad ones. The opinions are what keep these things going. That’s all though, just some observations though on what’s been going on, thanks for the continued support with my blog.
