As kids Saved By The Bell was one show that I’m sure a lot of you watched. When you look back on it, you can't deny how much of an influence that show has on style in 2015. Whether it was a varsity jacket, or a pair of combat boots, the cast of Saved By The Bell stayed dressed in styles that are heavily prevalent in 2015. Saved By The Bell, which premiered in 1989, was one of the shows that set the tone for 90’s fashion.
Each character on the show had a style of his or her own, and what I liked most about it is that you can tell that they didn’t have to put a lot of effort into it. Style was much simpler back then, you didn’t have to try hard to pull off a certain look. The guys kept it cool and clean with simple items such as patterned tee’s, sweaters and snapbacks, all of which are still around today. While the ladies wore crop tops, denim jeans and combat boots (Jessie Spano to be exact). Some times you could even catch cast members wearing bombers, which made a pretty big come back this past year.
The cast was never afraid to try new things with their outfits, and they only got better as the seasons went along. As they got older the outfits became mature and sophisticated because of the fact that they were becoming adults. So we started seeing more suits and stuff like that in the last season. Even still, the show had a very good run in terms of style. Whether it was Screech who stood out with his clothes and his peculiar behavior, or Zach with his sly demeanor and well put together attire, SBTB is definitely up there when it comes to television shows and fashion. Take a look at some of my favorite styles from the show below.
