Migos' Style Evolution

If you aren't familiar with hip-hop supergroup Migos by now then chances are you've either been under a rock or you literally don't listen to music. The trio from Atlanta, consisting of Quavo, Offset and Takeoff have been making their rounds in the industry dropping hit after hit and are finally getting the mainstream attention that they rightfully deserve. Migos makes sure to put out an anthem every year from tracks like their 2013 smash Versace to the 2016 song of the year Bad and Boujee (which Donald Glover shouted out upon winning a Golden Globe for his show Atlanta, bolstering streams for the track).

In 2017, the release of tracks Cast Calling and T-Shirt got the internet buzzing and more than ready for the groups second studio album "C U L T U R E" which is set to release on January 27th. The T-shirt visual exceeded expectations as we saw the trio dancing around in the mountains with women reciting lyrics that we're all sure to be shouting for months to come. The video shows how far the group has come in the fashion department.

There wasn't anything necessarily wrong with the way the Migos dressed in their early days, with the Balmain jeans, Versace shirts, Bape tee's along with other big label garments. You could look at them and assume they were rappers because of their clothing choice in addition to the amount of jewelry they rock. It seems as though a change was in order to keep up with the times especially keeping in mind that rap and fashion go hand in hand. In comes Ian Connor. You can literally scroll though all three group members instagram pages and see the growth in the aesthetic and wardrobe choices as Ian stepped in and took over styling duties for the trio. The group transitioned into more street style of clothing choices wearing brands like Vlone, Off White and others. This isn't Ian's first go around as he holds styling credits to Wiz Khalifa, Playboi Carti and most recently Kylie Jenner under his belt.

Migo's recent run also translated to the tube as they appeared in an episode of Donald Glovers hit FX series Atlanta. Getting the right look was all the group needed to really take it to the next level. They don't show any signs of wearing down soon and are in full throttle heading into the release of their album. They've got the number one song in the country (ARGUABLY thanks to a Donald Glover cosign) 3 of the rawest rappers in the game, and the whole world watching to see whats next. With C U L T U R E on the way, a rumored Quavo and Travi$ Scott collab album and solo projects from all 3 members 2017 looks to be owned by the new Beetles.
